Angle steel and towers, as essential components of steel structures, are widely used in power transmission, telecommunications facilities, and building support. Daily care is crucial to ensure their long-term, stable operation.

1. Regular Cleaning and Inspection

Angle steel and towers are exposed to the outdoors for extended periods, easily accumulating dust, oil, and corrosive substances. We recommend a thorough cleaning every quarter. Use a neutral detergent and a soft cloth to wipe the surface, avoiding scratches on the coating. Also, inspect the structure for deformation, cracks, or weld cracking, focusing on joints and stress-bearing areas.

2. Anti-corrosion Treatment

Steel structures are susceptible to rust due to environmental influences such as humidity and salt spray. During daily care, regularly inspect the integrity of anti-corrosion coatings (such as paint or galvanizing) and promptly repair any peeling or rust spots. Severely corroded areas should be sanded and derusted before reapplying with anti-corrosion primer and topcoat. In coastal areas or areas with high humidity, consider increasing the thickness of the anti-corrosion coating or using stainless steel.

3. Tightening and Maintenance

Bolt connections are crucial to tower stability. Bolts must be regularly inspected for looseness or missing components and tightened to the specified torque. For angle steel components, ensure welds are free of cracks and, if necessary, perform repair welding to reinforce them. Additionally, check the foundation for settlement or tilt to prevent structural instability caused by foundation problems.

4. Environmental Adaptability Management

Before and after extreme weather events (such as typhoons and blizzards), conduct enhanced inspections to clear accumulated snow, ice, and debris to prevent damage from excessive loads. For towers that have been idle for extended periods, covering or anti-corrosion measures are recommended to slow aging.

Proper daily care can significantly extend the service life of angle steel and tower components, ensuring their safety and functionality. Regular maintenance not only reduces repair costs but also helps prevent major accidents.
