High Tension Electric Tower

High Tension Electric Tower
Details:
High Tension Electric Tower units are specialized steel structures designed for the safe transmission of high-voltage electricity across regional and national power grids. These towers provide the critical height needed to maintain ground clearance while supporting the significant weight of conductors and insulators over long distances.

A High Tension Electric Tower relies on a high-strength-to-weight lattice design that minimizes wind drag while resisting the heavy mechanical tension exerted by the power lines. We use hot-dip galvanization with a thickness of over 86μm to ensure these structures remain maintenance-free for 50 to 100 years in diverse climates.

Parameter

Parameter Category Key Indicators Remark
Material Q235B (standard), Q355B (medium-high pressure), Q420B (extra-high pressure) High-strength steel is used in areas subjected to heavy loads.
Angle steel specifications Double-leg/Single-leg angles: L50×5 to L200×20; Large sizes: L200×20 to L400×30 Selected based on load capacity, ultra-high voltage lines often use double conductors.
Connection method Bolted connections are primarily used, with M16/M20/M24 bolts; 8.8 grade high-strength bolts (for extra-high voltage applications). Torque shall be in accordance with GB 50233-2014.
Node requirements Bolt hole spacing deviation ≤ ±1.5mm; contact surfaces fit well with no noticeable gaps.

Primary Grid Applications

National Grid Expansion: Supporting the main trunk lines that connect large power plants to metropolitan distribution hubs.

Industrial Power Feeds: Providing high-capacity electricity to remote mining operations, heavy manufacturing zones, and chemical plants.

Cross-Terrain Transmission: Engineered for structural stability across rivers, mountains, and highways where long spans require high-tension support.

Substation Integration: Serving as terminal or tension structures that manage the mechanical transition of lines into high-voltage transformer stations.

Core Functions

Conductor Support

The coordinated design of the tower head, tower body, and tower legs withstands the combined loads of gravity, wind loads, ice loads, and other loads on the conductors and lightning conductors.

01

Tension Balancing

Special structures (such as tension strings and jumpers) balance conductor tension at key nodes such as tension towers and corner towers, preventing the spread of line break accidents.

02

Safety Distance Assurance

Ensures that conductors maintain the legally required safety distance from the ground, buildings, and trees (e.g., 220kV lines maintain a ground distance of ≥6 meters) to prevent corona discharge and short circuits.

03

Environmental Adaptability

Designed to withstand wind, earthquake, and corrosion, the system adapts to complex terrains, including plains, mountains, and across rivers and seas.

04

Our Factory

Hebei Yifeng Steel Structure Co., Ltd. operates a specialized production base in the Jing County industrial zone, a global hub for steel tower manufacturing. Our facility is equipped with automated CNC angle steel processing lines and high-speed drilling systems that ensure precise hole alignment for fast and accurate site assembly. We offer comprehensive customization, allowing wholesale clients to specify steel grades, tower heights, and circuit configurations to meet specific local environmental loads. By controlling the entire manufacturing process in-house, we provide competitive factory-direct pricing and reliable turnaround times for international energy contracts.
